Visual Comfort Provenz 20 in Tail Sconce, Plaster White Linen Shade

Designed by Chapman & Myers for Visual Comfort Signature, this sconce shares the plaster white finish that defines the Provenz collection — matte and architectural rather than reflective, so the fixture reads as part of the wall rather than mounted onto it. The tail form drops the shade below a slim backplate, giving the piece vertical length without depth.

The linen shade measures 3.5 inches at the top, 8 inches at the bottom, over a 6-inch height, and sits on a compact rectangular canopy of 2.75 by 4.25 inches. The whole fixture extends only 8.25 inches from the wall — narrow enough for a hallway or a position beside a mirror where a deeper sconce would intrude.

Damp rated is the specification that matters most. It means the sconce is approved for bathrooms and other humid interiors, not just dry rooms, which is where a large share of sconce installations end up. It takes one E12 candelabra base B11 LED bulb up to 6.5W. ETL listed, and at 3 lb it mounts to a standard wall box without additional support.
